We recognise that participation in sport is key in providing opportunities for girls to develop physical, social and emotional well-being.
In March 2015, Netball Australia embraced its role as the nation’s leading sport for females, recognising the unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of girls and women across the country.
This vision led to the creation of the Netball Foundation, with a mission to support women and girls in achieving their full potential by improving access to education, health, leadership, and personal growth. Over the next two years, the Foundation made incredible strides in advancing this mission.
By 2017, the Netball Foundation transitioned into the Confident Girls Foundation, an independent national ACNC approved Not-for-Profit focused on creating a world where every girl can dream big and thrive.
We are dedicated to ensuring that every girl can walk confidently to school, access quality healthcare, and live free from fear or violence. By addressing barriers like financial inequality, limited leadership opportunities, isolation, gender stereotypes, and restricted access to physical activity, we’re helping to breakdown the obstacles that hold girls back and pave the way for a more equitable future.
At all ages, in all spaces, girls don't think they are treated equally to boys.

“Investing in girls is one of the smartest things we can do to promote a healthier, more prosperous world. More importantly, it’s the right thing to do.”
