Confident Girls Foundation CEO Nadine Cohen thanked the league and the entire Suncorp Super Netball community for its support.
“My sincere thanks goes to each and every person who donated during Confident Girls Round – this money will go a long way in helping the Foundation ensure we’re able to support girls within the Australian netball community facing adversity,” she said.
“I would also like to thank the Suncorp Super Netball league and all the players involved in Saturday’s telethon. Confident Girls Round is a key feature on the Foundation’s fundraising calendar and the ongoing support of Suncorp Super Netball plays an enormous role in ensuring we continue to deliver engagement and leadership programs to girls who need it most.”
The Confident Girls Foundation also thanks Suncorp, Woolworths, Telstra, Game Clothing, the Australian Sports Foundation and PTP Fitness for their support of Confident Girls Round.
Through netball, the Confident Girls Foundation is creating opportunities for girls to come together and build confidence, leadership, acceptance, and a sense of belonging, transforming confident girls into confident women.
Since its inception, the Foundation has supported 73,774 girls, women and their communities, granted $1,638,526 and delivered 862 programs in 433 Australian locations, with more than 50% in regional and rural communities.
